Sean is extremely responsive for communication, the location is fantastic, close enough to activities for hiking / floating and far enough from town center for privacy. Hot tub + grill + deck makes for great at-home value. Inside of home is beautiful as well. 👍

First thing that's important to say is that the space itself was perfect for our needs with an open concept and is nice and bright. The hot tub was great, the knives were sharp. There was a lot to love and it pains me that I can't give it 5 stars but we ran into too many things that weren't working. Like the microwave door that wouldn't open, 2 broken patio chairs, torn screen at the sliding door, and most inconveniently, an oven that was flaky about getting to temperature. For the price point and presentation of the space, you just don't expect to have these kinds of issues. There were some other minor things that we'll share with the host and hopefully that feedback will help them improve the little things for someone else's future stay. I do think it's worth noting that we are foodies and we like to cook so the kitchen issues were a big problem for us. If you were in this space and not cooking, you might not even notice some of the things that we struggled with.

I wanted to say “we love the place”, but I can’t. The place has maintenance and cleaning issues. I let the host know on arrival. Everyday we found more maintenance issues - dead bug on ceiling in bedroom, sticky floors, torn screen, dirty and smelly entrance to garage, broken microwave, dirty bean bags, chips on the stairs etc. it made me question what else is dirty? I was waiting for a response for the dirty floors and furniture before reporting all the other issues, but that never happened. It is large enough to accommodate a big party, but oddly enough there is no closet access in the bedroom on the main floor and no en-suite. There are 2 1/2 bathrooms - one on each level, which was nice. We paid $3800 for 3 days plus a $200 pet fee. While it is decorated nicely to appear luxurious it is far from that. For this price point I expect perfection and did not get that.

Our group of 9 had a great weekend at Mitten Pines! Plenty of space to spread out and relax with thoughtful touches throughout. We loved the kitchen; it has a big island and made group meals really easy. The beds are very comfortable, everyone slept great. The fire pit was also awesome. This home is in an location to enjoy a bunch of things in the area like hiking, the Saco river, and dining. Would recommend!

Sean was a greag host. Easy to reach and very helpful. the house was fantastic, very spacious and perfect location in the woods.

The location of the house is perfect close enough to town and amenities but far enough away to disconnect and relax. The fire pit is awesome! Room for everyone to gather and enjoy. The house itself was beautifully decorated and felt "homey". The beds were great! I mean really good. Not "hotel" beds. Super comfy and we all slept perfectly. The kitchen was fully kitted out with everything you need. The little touches like extra hair ties and bobby pins in the bathroom were a nice surprise. Sound machines to help getting to sleep, if needed. Very thoughtful. The only thing was the gas grill didn't have a tank and wasn't hooked up to the house line so we couldn't use it during our stay. The host was responsive to my asking about it. The suggested solution, however, was disappointing as the guest shouldn't carry the burden of correcting an issue like that. But the host is working on an agreeable resolution. We recommend this house and would happily stay again.
